Wingsuit

How it works, and what it shows: read the note on the blog.

The suit is a point mass with lift and drag, set so its best glide is 2.5 to 1 at 45 m/s, the figures published for real wingsuits (Robson and D'Andrea's measured flights put the best glide at about 45 m/s and a comfortable speed at 35 m/s). Its tests check both, and that it turns, sinks faster in a bank, stalls past its lift limit and settles under canopy. Simplified: no wind, air that is the same all the way down, you set the suit's lift and bank directly rather than flying its body, and the canopy is a simple slow wing with made-up but canopy-like numbers. The trees are solid. The ghost is a pilot flying the same two controls, and the tests have it make every ring of every line, miss every tree and land in the meadow.

What's new
  • 2026-10-06: Turn your phone sideways and the game fills the screen, with the thumb controls over the picture. Turn it upright to get the page back.
  • 2026-10-06: A fifth line, The Serpent: a winding valley whose middle swings across about 450 m as it bends one way and the other, with eleven rings hung as low as the ghost can fly them, so you bank through every one.
